According to Essence, rapper Jeezy and TV personality Jeannie Mai's divorce took a turn as she alleges abuse within their relationship. Mai claims Jeezy would have outbursts, excessive drinking, and domestic violence. In April 2022, at a San Francisco hotel where Mai alleges Jeezy choked her along with other physical abuse that was documented. Mai also has photo evidence of bruises and apology texts from Jeezy, who also alleges physical abuse after giving birth. The two share a daughter Monaco, who Jeezy is trying to get primary custody of.
